What You Can Do with AI Inbox

Core Capabilities

  • Draft personalized openers

    • What it does: Generates a first message for a new connection based on their LinkedIn profile, headline, recent posts, and any shared context.

    • Why it matters: You start conversations that feel personal instead of templated. Higher response rates, less effort.

  • Draft contextual replies

    • What it does: Reads the full conversation thread and generates a reply that matches the conversation flow and your tone settings.

    • Why it matters: You don't have to re-read the entire thread to figure out what to say next. The AI does it for you.

  • Smart reply chips

    • What it does: Three context-aware suggestions appear above the compose box. They detect the conversation stage (early conversation, resource delivery, stale thread, etc.) and offer relevant actions.

    • Why it matters: You pick a direction in one click instead of deciding from scratch what to say.

  • Keyboard shortcuts

    • What it does: Press A to trigger a draft, 1-3 to pick a smart reply chip, R to regenerate. All without touching the mouse.

    • Why it matters: You can process your entire inbox at speed. Open conversation, A, review, send, next.

  • Regenerate and refine

    • What it does: After a draft is generated, click Regenerate (or press R) for a fresh take. Use Shorter or More Direct buttons to adjust the draft.

    • Why it matters: Never stuck with the first draft. Quick iteration until it sounds right.

  • Contact name usage control

    • What it does: Choose whether the AI uses the contact's first name in openers only, every message, or never.

    • Why it matters: Some people prefer casual name usage, others find it presumptuous. You control the default.

Step-by-Step: Common Use Cases

  1. Open Inbox and click a conversation with an unread message.

  2. Press A to generate a reply.

  3. The AI reads the thread and drafts a response in the compose box.

  4. Review, edit if needed, and press Send.

Result: A personalized reply sent in under 30 seconds.

Open a conversation with a new connection

  1. Go to New Conversation and select a connection.

  2. Press A to generate an opener.

  3. The AI pulls from their profile, headline, and recent posts to write a natural first message.

  4. Review, edit, and send.

Result: A personalized opener instead of a generic hey-thanks-for-connecting message.

Re-engage a stale conversation

  1. Open a conversation where the last message was outbound and 3+ days ago.

  2. Smart reply chips will include a Suggest follow-ups option.

  3. Click it to get follow-up suggestions.

  4. Pick one, review the draft, and send.

Result: A natural follow-up that does not feel pushy.

Deliver a promised resource

  1. Open a conversation where you promised to send a resource and the contact confirmed they want it.

  2. Smart reply chips will detect this and show Send the resource as an option.

  3. Click it. The AI drafts a delivery message with an [INSERT LINK HERE] placeholder.

  4. Replace the placeholder with your actual link and send.

Result: You follow through on your promise without forgetting or overthinking the message.

FAQs for AI Inbox

  • Q: Does the AI send messages automatically? A: No. Every draft appears in the compose box for you to review and edit before sending. You always press Send yourself.

  • Q: How many credits does each draft cost? A: One credit per draft (opener, reply, or regeneration). Your plan includes a monthly allocation, and you can buy top-up bundles anytime.

  • Q: Can the AI read the contact's LinkedIn profile? A: Yes. It pulls their name, headline, job title, company, location, and recent posts to personalize the draft.

  • Q: What if the draft is bad? A: Press R to regenerate, or use the Shorter / More Direct buttons to adjust. You can also edit the draft manually in the compose box.

  • Q: Does it work for new connections with no conversation history? A: Yes. For new connections, the AI generates an opener based on their profile and posts instead of conversation history.
